  • Semi-formal attire—with lots of ease as we will be walking during the parade.

    For the gents: dress shirt and pants, no need for a jacket or tie but full suits are welcome if they are your preference. Dress shoes are preferred but a dressy loafer will do the trick—just no sneakers please!

    For the ladies: cocktail dresses—knee-length or longer—, dressy separates, or jumpsuits are all welcome. An important note on shoes: comfort is key. Not only will we be walking during the Calenda, but the cocktail party at Criollo will be held in their pea gravel courtyard, which makes stilettos and thin heels a bad idea. We recommend wearing wedges or chunkier heels if you want the height, but sandals and flats are of course welcome.

  • A calenda is a beloved Oaxacan tradition: a festive street procession with a brass band, dancing, some giant puppets, and little bit of mezcal. Each little detail has its own history and significance, working as one to announce a new marriage around town. It's a joyful way of bringing people together and of marking a special occasion.

    We will meet for the Calenda (specific location to be determined closer to the event) in Oaxaca Centro where we’ll begin the procession. Together we will make our way to Criollo, where the parade will wrap up and we will enjoy our food and drinks for the evening.

  • Of course. While every guest is invited to both celebrations—the Calenda/Cocktail on Friday and the Wedding on Saturday—we completely understand if you cannot make it on Friday. Please let us know on the RSVP form whether you’ll be joining us on both days or just on Saturday!

  • Black-Tie Optional. We love an excuse to get fancy—tuxes and floor-length evening gowns are preferred, but formal suits and ties and formal dresses are perfectly appropriate as well, and we do ask for no white/cream/ivory/etc. Just bring your dancing shoes!

  • We have arranged for vans to take guests to Loma Noble from Oaxaca Centro on Saturday—the specific location will be determined closer to the event but we do ask for everyone to be ready at the pick-up spot around 3:30 pm as the vans will be departing promptly at 3:45 pm.

    There will be vans departing throughout the night at different times as well, closer to the end of the party. If you foresee needing to leave on the earlier side, please let us know and we will make sure someone can take you back downtown.

  • We kindly ask that you RSVP by August 15th, but the sooner the better! Please do so by completing the form in this website, which is easiest to reach by going to the drop-down menu and clicking the RSVP button. If you have any trouble or further questions, please let us know. Thank you!

  • Semiformal, pero con algunas consideraciones específicas ya que caminaremos durante la calenda.

    Caballeros: camisa de vestir y pantalón. No es necesario llevar saco ni corbata, aunque los trajes completos son bienvenidos si así lo prefieren. Se recomiendan zapatos de vestir o mocasines elegantes; les pedimos evitar los tenis.

    Damitas: vestidos de cóctel (a la rodilla o más largos), conjuntos elegantes o enterizos son excelentes opciones. Una nota importante sobre el calzado: además de caminar durante la calenda, el cóctel en Criollo se llevará a cabo en un patio de grava fina, por lo que los tacones muy altos o finitos pueden resultar bastante incómodos. Recomendamos plataformas o tacones más anchos/”chunky” para las que prefieran algo de altura, aunque unas sandalias vestidoras o flats elegantes también son una excelente opción.

  • La calenda es una de las tradiciones más queridas de Oaxaca: es una procesión acompañada de una banda, bailongo, monos de calenda y, obvio, un poquito de mezcal.

    Nos reuniremos para la calenda en el Centro de Oaxaca (la ubicación exacta se compartirá más cerca de la fecha del evento), donde comenzaremos la procesión. Desde ahí caminaremos juntos hasta Criollo, donde concluirá la calenda y seguiremos la fiesta con comida deli y drinks coquetos.

  • Claro que no. Todos los invitados son bienvenidos tanto a los eventos del viernes como a los del sábado, pero también comprendemos que puede ser complicado tomarse el día. Por favor haznos saber mediante nuestro formulario de RSVP si podrás asistir ambos días o sólo el sábado.

  • Etiqueta opcional (formal de noche). Nos encantan las oportunidades para ponernos guapos. Caballeros por favor con traje y corbata (o con esmoquin si gustas despampanar). Damas idealmente de vestido de gala al piso—les pedimos no llevar tonos blancos/crema/marfil. Por favor vengan listísimos para bailar.

  • Hemos organizado transporte en camionetas desde el Centro de Oaxaca hasta Loma Noble. La ubicación exacta del punto de encuentro y partida será confirmada más cerca de la fecha del evento, pero les pedimos estar listos en el lugar a las 3:30 pm, ya que las camionetas saldrán puntualmente a las 3:45 pm.

    También habrá camionetas de regreso al centro saliendo a distintas horas durante la noche, sobre todo cuando nos acerquemos al fin de la celebración. Si crees que necesitarás regresar particularmente temprano, por favor avísanos para que nos podamos asegurar de tener un transporte disponible.

  • Les pedimos cordialmente que confirmen su asistencia a más tardar el 15 de agosto. El botón que dice “RSVP” en el menú principal y al final de la sección “El Finde” los lleva al formulario que se debe de llenar para confirmar.
