Getting to Oaxaca / Cómo llegar a Oaxaca
Flying in
If you are coming to Oaxaca from abroad, it will be easiest to connect through Mexico City (MEX)—your final destination will be Oaxaca International Airport (OAX).
After landing, you can book a taxi or shared shuttle inside of the airport right outside of baggage claim and they will take you to your hotel or place of stay. Make sure l to know the street name and number of your hotel; all drivers are familiar with most hotels, but in case they don’t know a specific one, they will definitely be able to find the exact location off of the address.

Les recomendamos llegar directamente al aeropuerto de Oaxaca (OAX). En la zona de llegadas hay varios sitios seguros de taxi y transporte compartido. Es importante tener disponible la calle y el número del hotel al que llegarás en caso de que los conductores no conozcan el nombre.

Oaxaca Centro
Both our Friday and Saturday celebrations will be kicking off in Downtown Oaxaca (this area is known locally as “Oaxaca Centro” or simply “Centro”, Airbnb and most hotel booking sites label the neighborhood as such as well). On Friday we will be walking together (as part of a parade!) from Oaxaca Centro to the next neighborhood over where we will be having a cocktail party; on Saturday shuttles will be leaving from Oaxaca Centro as well to take you to our ceremony and reception venue.
Naturally, we highly recommend that you stay in Oaxaca Centro—it’s a safe, walkable and fairly small area where most tourism is focused. The are plenty of lovely boutique and independent hotels with 10-20 rooms in the neighborhood as well as a couple of chain hotels and many types of rental homes on Airbnb.

Zona Centro
Tanto el rompehielos del viernes como la boda el sábado comenzarán en el centro de Oaxaca. El viernes caminaremos juntos —como parte de una calenda— desde el Centro hacia el la colonia de al lado, donde tendremos un cóctel de bienvenida. El sábado, las camionetas para llevar a todos los invitados saldrán también desde el Centro.
Por esto mismo les recomendamos ampliamente hospedarse en la zona Centro: es una zona segura y relativamente pequeña, donde se concentra gran parte de la actividad turística. Ahí encontrarán desde hoteles boutique e independientes de 10 a 20 habitaciones, hasta algunos hoteles de cadena, además de muchas opciones de casas y departamentos en Airbnb.
